In this Italian private wine tour you will discover different wine varieties of Le Marche region. We will travel on a private minivan from the northern to the southern part of the region. Enjoy meeting local winemakers and visit beautiful villages!

The Tour day by day

Day 1: Experience starts

EARLY AFTERNOON

Benvenuti amici!

Our meeting point is at the arrivals gate of Bologna Airport at 2PM. Our Tour leader will accompany you to your private minivan, so enjoy the ride to Le Marche’s region and to your selected accommodation.

LATE AFTERNOON

Once arrived at your destination you will have some free time to relax before visiting a beautiful medieval town that holds one of the most celebrated Italian romantic stories!

DINNER

Dinner starts around 8PM, in one of the local restaurants inside the medieval citadel.

Day 2: Northern Terroir

MORNING:

Get your nice cappuccino and your delicious breakfast and by 9.30AM our driver will pick you up, destination Urbino! Enjoy a private guided tour of the National Gallery of Marche inside Duke’s palace and learn more about the great man himself: Federico da Montefeltro.

LUNCH

As the visit ends you will have some free time to explore the city even more, don’t hesitate to ask your Tour leader for some good restaurant or what to see next!

AFTERNOON:

We will regroup and visit our first winery to finally taste the northern varieties of Marche along with some almost extinct grapes. Prepare your taste buds our wine immersion is about to begin!

DINNER:

Dinnertime is 8PM in a local restaurant of a nearby little town.

Day 3: Central Terroir

MORNING:

We will wake up a little earlier today so our driver will pick you up to visit one of the most esoteric places of Le Marche: the underground city of Osimo! Once there you will have a private small group tour inside two of the four main tunnels and discover some secrets of the city’s past!

LUNCH

As the visit ends you will have some free time to explore the city even more, as per usual you might want to follow your Tour leader and eat together or just ask him what good restaurants are out there and what to see next!

AFTERNOON:

We will visit two* wineries and see how even in 30KM distance the terroir makes a big difference!

DINNER:

As we drive back home we will stop in a local restaurant for our dinner.

*depending on the winemaker’s busy schedule it might happen that we will visit one winery instead of two.

Day 4: Southern Terroir

MORNING:

Today we will explore the the southern part of Le Marche Region. We will arrive at one of the most beautiful villages of Italy: Offida for a relaxed stroll.

LUNCH

In the city center there is plenty of options for a great lunch! be sure to get the local specialties like the chichí ripieno!

AFTERNOON:

In the afternoon we will have our usual winery visit and wine tasting! ready to enjoy some ancient wine varieties dating back to romans?!

DINNER:

As we drive back at the hotel we will stop in a local restaurant to celebrate the end of our journey!

Day 5: Back to the busy world

Alas, all good things comes to an end, eventually. After the check out, our private driver will transport you directly to Bologna’s airport. We hope you have great time and enjoyed discovering Marche’s wines!

What is the minimum number of people for the experience?

4 People

What do you mean by 3/4 wineries?

Our trip focus on boutique wineries, we want to bring you to discover and talk directly to local winemakers and not the big corporate companies. Therefore it might happen that sometimes one winemaker is simply too busy. If that is the case you will be informed and our trip will be slightly modified to provide the same great experience!

I have a car, can I simply follow you?

If you have a car and don’t need to be picked up at Bologna’s airport you can arrive at the Hotel by yourself. However, during our trip you will still be enjoying our private minivan so you can drink safely and avoid the hassle of getting lost. After dinner time, if you still have energy to spare, you can take your car and visit the towns nearby your accommodation!
